The NCEP organizes and coordinates a variety of outreach and awareness-raising initiatives targeting middle and high school students, with the goal of showcasing the range of degree programs offered at Técnico and their corresponding career paths. These initiatives aim to provide young students with a clear and comprehensive view of the educational options and professional opportunities available in higher education.
Throughout the year, several activities are held to bring younger students closer to the reality of university life, giving them a practical glimpse of the academic environment that awaits them. The goal is to ease the transition into higher education and raise awareness about social responsibility, both within and beyond the university setting.
Some of our key activities include:
- Rob9-16: A Robotics Club for children and teenagers aged 9 to 16 who are interested in engineering, programming, electronics, and telecommunications. Rob9-16 offers a hands-on, engaging introduction to the world of robotics and emerging technologies.
- Experimenta-te: An initiative developed in partnership with the Oeiras Council, aimed at promoting an active and creative youth. It offers young people the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic and cultural activities in a dynamic environment.
- Summer at ULisboa: A unique opportunity for high school students to experience the pace and spirit of academic life at the University of Lisbon. During the program, participants can explore different fields of knowledge, interact with university students, and get a first-hand experience of campus life in an engaging and relaxed setting.
In addition to these programs, NCEP is also responsible for organizing school visits to the campus, allowing students to explore the university’s facilities and learn more about how it operates.
Through these and other initiatives, NCEP is committed to promoting the holistic development of young people, equipping them with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures, while encouraging their active participation in society.
