The 2024 edition of GIRLSTEAM will take place on April 24 and will feature practical activities and demonstrations on the Taguspark campus, targeting students from primary, basic, and secondary education.

The event is part of the celebrations for the International Girls in ICT Day: Information and Communication Technologies (Girls in ICT 2024). This day, observed annually, is an international effort promoted by the United Nations agency, ITU (International Telecommunication Union), aiming to encourage and inspire young girls to explore study and career opportunities in fields related to information and communication technology, promoting gender equality in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) areas. Instituto Superior Técnico actively participates in this celebration, contributing to raising awareness and engaging girls in ICT.
